Fourth of July, one of the true highlights of summer and celebrated from every corner of the Long Beach Island Region. Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce invites you to soak in summer with fireworks, concerts, and all the grand memories a Fourth of July at the beach can provide. This year, as part of the region’s Beach Culture Redefined campaign the member businesses and organizations have prepared even more for you to enjoy. The Southern Ocean Chamber sampler of events to look forward to includes Star Spangled Magic starting June 29 through July 3 at Fantasy Island Amusement Park with free shows 730, 830 and 930pm, July 1, get prepped for the holiday with the Garage Kept Band free concert on the green in Beach Haven, July 2 head out for 2pm Sand Sculpting Contest on 25th St Beach in Barnegat Light, July 3 head out on an historic walking tour of Beach Haven with LBI Historical Association. Celebrate the USA with an Independence Day Parade in Barnegat Light, visit Tuckerton Seaport for an old fashioned ice cream social in the heart of a 42 acre historic site that includes a lighthouse, surf museum and NJ folk life center. This event features cow milking contest, live entertainment, popsicle building contest and Head down to Beach Haven as it kicks off free beaches, tennis courts, and boat ramps every Wednesday during July and August in honor of its 125th Anniversary. July 3 & 4 visit Southern End Surf and Paddle’s Shape Fest where Queen City Surf Boards will show how they are crafting boards, event features live Reggae music. Fireworks at dusk on the bay at Historic Barnegat dock with live concert, Bay Village in Beach Haven and Tuckerton or for a different view take a firework cruise on Miss Barnegat Light
