LAS VEGAS - June 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Four years ago, entrepreneur Mike Monko envisioned a unique business that would epitomize the Boy Scout motto “Be Prepared.” In October, 2011 his vision became reality with the grand opening of the Zombie Apocalypse Store in Las Vegas, Nevada. Monko had done what his critics said could never be. He had created a uniquely strange but definitely fun combination of survival store and zombie theme park.

He added, for example, the “Zombie Shooting Experience,” where patrons travel to a zombie infested area and eliminate the walking dead hordes with realistic looking and powerful paintball guns.

No longer is the Zombie Apocalypse Store “somewhere interesting to go when you’re in Las Vegas.” It is now a very popular deliberate destination. “While visiting the Zombie Apocalypse Store,” owner Mike Monko now suggests with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye, “why not stay a few extra days and see Las Vegas’ other attractions?” Monko’s wit, wisdom, positive attitude, and sense of humor have a lot to do with the success of his establishment. Many find simply visiting the store to be an empowering experience.

Tens of thousands of people have visited and been favorably impressed with the Zombie Apocalypse Store. The majority of those people have been more than once and a remarkably high percentage have become regular visitors. Even daytrips from Los Angeles and Phoenix are becoming more frequent.

People really like this place. Review sites rank it as excellent, giving it an average of four and a half out of a possible five stars. It’s listed in “Las Vegas City Guide’s Top Ten” and it made the “Top Five Must Visit Places in Las Vegas” list. Yelp gives it four stars; Facebook gives it four and a half stars; Foursquare gives it four plus stars and TripAdvisor gives it four and a half stars. In fact, TripAdvisor has just named The Zombie Apocalypse Store their Certificate of Excellence, 2015 Winner.
