CINCINNATI - June 23, 2015 - PRLog -- A Housing Solutions Summit, which will include on-site counseling with foreclosure prevention specialists and representatives from major bank and mortgage companies, is coming June 27, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., to Word of Deliverance, 693 Fresno Rd., 45240. The event is FREE and open to the public.

The event will benefit homeowners facing foreclosure or those who are afraid they will fall behind in their mortgage payments. Representatives of major mortgage lenders – PNC, Wells Fargo, Third Federal and Nationstar Mortgage -- will be available to talk to homeowners, to answer questions about documents they have received and to provide on-site services.

“Many homeowners are confused by the paperwork they receive from their lenders, and they can’t get a `live’ person on the telephone, someone they could explain their individual circumstances to,” said Jennifer Valentine, Director of the National Organization for Affordable Housing (NOAH). “The Housing Solutions Summit allows each person who comes to talk to an experienced credit and mortgage expert from NOAH and a representative from their lending institution, if their bank is represented.”

The event is for all homeowners whose homes are in danger of foreclosure -- even if their bank is not scheduled to send a representative. It is especially for those who have experienced extraordinary hardships that have impacted their ability to pay. Those situations include: loss of income, divorce, death of a family member, lay-off or other adversity.

If eligible, homeowners could receive:

Delinquent Property Tax Assistance (Owner must also have a mortgage.)
Mortgage Lien Cancellation
Transitional Assistance (assistance in moving and finding new housing)
Modification with Principal Reduction
Partial or Full Mortgage Payment Assistance (for unemployed or under-employed)

Ms. Valentine explained that it’s a three part process that allows homeowners to voice their concerns, find out their options and formulate an action plan to avoid foreclosure. To streamline the application process, homeowners are asked to bring:

·         Last 60 days of pay stubs

·         Proof of all household income, including child support, alimony, etc.

·         Last two bank statements (all pages)

·         Last two years of tax returns (If self employed, also bring updated Profit and Loss forms and all Schedules filed for those years.)

·         A letter detailing the hardship they are experiencing

·         Copy of mortgage statement and recorded mortgage

Founded in Cleveland, NOAH is a faith-based nonprofit that maintains a Greater Cincinnati satellite office at 10925 Reed Hartman Hwy., 45242. NOAH also provides individual credit repair counseling and first time home buyer and financial literacy classes.
