Philly Pop-Punk Outfit RIVERS MONROE To Release 2nd Album on 7/1; On Vans Warped Tour July 4-21

PHILADELPHIA - June 22, 2015 - PRLog -- On July 1, pop-punk outfit Rivers Monroe will release, Smart Girls, their highly-anticipated sophomore album, via Phosphorylative Entertainment Group. Anchored by the irresistible single “Satellite,” and the ear candy sunshine of “Hero Inside,” “Firefight” and “Good Life," which echo the best of Maroon 5, Mayday Parade, The Maine, and OneRepublic, Smart Girls is an inspiring collection of hook-driven anthems.

The new 14-song collection finds the band co-producing with Amped Recording Studios wunderkind Greg Parker (Emarosa, Everyone Dies In Utah, Car Party), a creative partnership that emulates the mellifluous magic evident on their critically-acclaimed self-titled debut. Spawning the hit singles “Moments” and “Emily (Every Second),” Rivers Monroe established the band as the next big thing with music featured on NBC Sports Network, NASCAR Network, FOX Sports, Speed TV, MLB, NCAA, FSN, NFL Network and in the official video games for NASCAR 2011 and 2014.

While the group’s sterling debut stirred a tidal wave, their genesis began in 2008 when keyboardist/vocalist Mat Rivers joined forces with long-time friend, singer Mike Monroe.
