Vegas Unwrapped Launches Mainstream Internet Entertainment Network

LAS VEGAS - June 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Vegas Unwrapped Info-tainment, LLC, an Internet radio show and production company recently purchased Vegas All Net Radio from Las Vegas-based Lotus Broadcasting.  The New Vegas All Net Radio netcasts live talk radio and music shows and podcasts from the website vegasallnetradio.com. The acquisition of VANR is the fulfillment of a vision that Co-owner Phil Kohen (AKA Aaron Phillips) has nurtured for nearly a decade.

“I got my start in the business hosting sports talk shows and I developed a passion for radio that has never gone away,” he said. “After being on the air for a few years, I realized that owning a radio station was my ultimate goal. The relationship that I have developed with my good friend and business partner Richard Marsh (AKA Ricky Cash) has been monumental in the realization of a dream that I have pursued for many years.”

 Kohen and Marsh created the one hour talk show “Vegas Unwrapped” in 2009 to unearth many of the myths that the public has about the Las Vegas community. Their grass-roots efforts quickly caught the attention of radio listeners and advertisers and they decided to broadcast for two hours per week. The pair took on new identities as the show grew in popularity. Phillips assumed the role of a true broadcaster while Cash provided the comic relief with his off-the-wall one liners and self-proclaimed “Cashisms.”

  “I started to have a lot of fun with the Ricky Cash character,” Marsh said. “I had no background in radio but Aaron was an amazing teacher and our show became very successful. At that time, we already felt that we could quadruple the impact that we had on the community if we owned our own radio station and Aaron thought it would be an outstanding business opportunity.”

  “Vegas Unwrapped” moved to VANR in 2013 and it quickly became one of the network’s highest rated shows. Phillips and Cash also nurtured the development of other talk shows as producers and mentors. During an appearance on “The Sandy Kastel Show” in 2014, the pair met John Stiles, an ex- Marine with a strong background in radio, video production and business.

  “John was one of the first people who truly understood our vision,” Phillips said. “We knew right away that we wanted him as part of our team and he became a member of the Vegas Unwrapped cast. He was a breath of fresh air for us and he had contacts who eventually became investors when we purchased VANR.”

  The opportunity to purchase an Internet station became a reality when Lotus Broadcasting decided to sell VANR in early 2015. Phillips, Cash and Stiles overcame enormous challenges to make the deal a reality and preserve the station. Vegas Unwrapped has now owned The New Vegas All Net Radio for a little more than 60 days.

 “This is only the beginning,” Stiles said. “We are taking Internet radio into the future. Our network is moving into the video age and the quality of the product we will offer hasn’t been seen yet in this world.”

  Cash believes The New Vegas All Net Radio offers its show hosts value that is unparalleled.

  “We offer classes that teach hosts how to use social media to their advantage and show them how to secure advertisers,” he said. “Our hosts should never have to take money out of their own pockets to pay for a show if they follow the techniques we teach them for interviewing potential sponsors.”

  Phillips envisions The New Vegas All Net Radio as a worldwide entertainment option.

  “We have grown the show schedule by more than 50% so far and our goal is to offer 168 hours of netcasts every week,” he said. “The Internet format is very easy to expand and we will eventually air on 2 radio stations and a television station as well. I predict that our brand will be recognized around the world within the next five years.”
