Take me out to the Father’s Day ballgame

BUTLER, Pa. - June 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Newhaven Court at Clearview is ready to play ball as part of a Father’s Day celebration.

    The senior living community will sponsor the Butler BlueSox game against the Jamestown Jammers on Sunday. The first pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. at Kelly Automotive Park in Butler. The BlueSox play in the Prospect League, which is a summer collegiate wood-bat league.

    “This night at the ballpark will be a great way for our dedicated employees and our residents to enjoy a ballgame on Father’s Day,” said Gary Renwick, Executive Director of Newhaven Court at Clearview. “Baseball is America’s pastime, and many of our seniors grew up watching the game during what is considered the Golden Age of Baseball. Plus, it’s always great to support the hometown team.”

    Newhaven Court at Clearview will have a representative throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. The senior community also will give away Newhaven Court at Clearview/BlueSox pocket “coolies” to the first 300 fans.

    More than 100 Newhaven Court at Clearview employees and residents as well as their families will attend the game in a stadium suite.

    “We’re excited about cheering on our hometown team, the BlueSox,” Renwick said.
