Mike Adams is Back Home to Pull Off Another Big Community Weekend

PATERSON, N.J. - June 19, 2015 - PRLog -- 12-year NFL Pro Bowl Champion and Indianapolis Colt, Mike Adams is back home in Paterson, NJ, after finishing mini camps in Indiana.  He is embarking on his 9^th Annual Charity Weekend of free events for the Paterson, NJ community.

The weekend kicks off with an outdoor boxing event at the East Side Park at Larry Doby Field.  Saturday begins with a youth football camp that is free of costs for hundreds of kids within the community, who will be coached by Adams himself, along with some NFL friends supporting in town.  Following the football camp, Adams is putting on his annual block party, which is open to the community and provides free food, drinks, and entertainment.

Adams is extremely passionate about giving back to the community he is from, the community he works within, and always open to helping communities in need.  “I like to provide kids the opportunities I didn’t have as a child growing up.  My hope is that they’ll remember weekends like this forever, because of me”, Adams said.

About Mike Adams

Mike “Pops” Adams, born March 24, 1981 in Paterson, New Jersey, is currently a Safety with the Indianapolis Colts in the National Football League. He was signed by the San Francisco 49ers (2004-2006) as an undrafted free agent in 2004 and also spent time with the Cleveland Browns (2007-2011), prior to the Denver Broncos (2012-2014).  Adams became an AFC champion with the Broncos his 2013-2014 season and competed in Superbowl XLVIII.  2014-2015 NFL season, Adams became a Pro Bowl Champion, tied for league takeaways, and set a career high of 93 tackles as an Indianapolis Colt.  He played college football at the University of Delaware.  Mike is an active philanthropist and is committed to giving back to his community.
