VANCOUVER, British Columbia - June 18, 2015 - PRLog -- A Cambie Grease Cleaning has announced that they are offering their septic tank cleaning service for commercial establishments and residential homes in Vancouver. This is in addition to their highly sought after grease cleaning services. A Cambie Grease Cleaning is a popular company for specialized cleaning services in Vancouver.

“Most homeowners, and perhaps a sizable number of business owners too, don’t really give much thought to the state of their septic tanks,” admits Wayne Wong, who owns and manages Richmond septic cleaning company, A Cambie Grease Cleaning. “But when something goes wrong with them, they can be a disaster.”

Cleaning and pumping is an integral part of septic tank maintenance, which is the responsibility of the owner. The most important reason for diligence in this area is that it protects the health of the people in the home and in the community.

“We have highly-trained personnel dealing with this task because it’s so important,” stresses Surrey grease interceptor cleaner, Wong. “If a septic system fails, the insufficiently treated wastewater can seep into the environment. It can cause health issues when it contaminates drinking water sources, groundwater, and nearby wells.”

When a septic tank fails, local bodies of water such as local lakes and rivers may become polluted. Building permits may not be issued for these properties, and property values can decline.

According to Wayne Wong, septic tank cleaning is a good investment, because the financial risk is greater when the task is undone.  “It only costs a few hundred dollars a year to have the septic tank regularly inspected and cleaned,” reveals Richmond trap cleaning manager, Wong. “But if a septic system fails, the cost of repair can go anywhere from $3,000 to $10,000.”

Many of the modern appliances in homes may also make it more difficult for the septic system, which then requires more frequent cleaning. Hot tubs and whirlpools are a good example, according to Wong.

“These hot tubs may be good for the homeowner, but they’re not so good for the septic system,” attests Wong. “Draining large amounts of water from the tub into the septic tank overloads the system, and the solids in the tank can be stirred and pushed into the drain field. That will cause the system to fail.”

Water softeners also do the same thing to the septic system, according to Wong.  “Even garbage disposals are a problem, because they boost the amount of solids in the septic tank by 50%,” reveals Wong. “A disposal turns kitchen scraps into small pieces that end up suspended in the water of the septic tank. Most of these grindings must then be pumped out of the tank.”

A Cambie Grease Cleaning is available for emergency septic tank cleaning 24/7.
