Civilized Productions to record Sacrifice and Solace album; choral debut for The Toronto Ensemble

TORONTO - June 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Inspired by two a cappella songs performed last November by a choir, conducted by Lynn McMurray, one an original composition and the other the popular war-time classic Danny Boy, Graeme Boyce agreed to produce and release a full album from The Toronto Ensemble, an eight-man choir who will record Sacrifice and Solace, their debut, in 2015, which will be released in the fall.

"I am extremely happy to be part of this unique group of professionals," says Boyce, who once ran Raw Energy from 1989 to 1999. "It's been a long time since I've been involved in the music industry and this is an exciting experience for me, especially venturing into the realm of classical music, and producing a new choral album for a national audience, and I hope it is the first we produce of a series of many."

This album proudly reflects not only the sense of duty and patriotism of the soldiers heading to the front lines but also their experiences while serving bravely and without remorse, for the cause of good. Currently, many nations, in particular Canada, are commemorating the centenary of The Great War which was fought from 1914 to 1918. The songs to be recorded and appearing on the album are a combination of poems recently composed and arranged, and familiar cover tunes.
