Canada's heroic victory on China and the Netherlands' victory on New Zealand made it obvious that both countries will surely advance through the group stage. Canada’s dominating display on China showed how organized they are at playing together on the field. The Canadian Women’s team is very well coached and we believe that with the strength of these girls and their organized formation, it is projected that Canada will beat the Netherlands and be on top of Group A.

Germany's Women’s Soccer team is the clear favorite to win it all. Their brilliance in formation, defense and attack makes it very difficult for any team to compete with.  Much like the Men’s National team, they are very well coached and very talented on all fronts of the field. Their strength, toughness and discipline will be the key to help beat any team they face during the tournament.

Japan is looking to repeat their underdog run again to become back-to-back champions. They are currently ranked 5^th in the world — their quickness and heart will be paramount for them to repeat the heroic run that they have produced during the last FIFA tournament. We believe Japan will excel through to the next stage, but we’re unsure if the team is able to repeat their masterful run of the previous FIFA tournament.

Alex Morgan is the player many players fear or envy. With her quickness, high level IQ, power in her shots and the ability to go through defenders, we have to rank her as the #1 player of the tournament. The States are behind Germany, positioned at 2^nd in the overall rankings. We believe that with the previous history of the US Women’s soccer team, they are bound to make it through to finals. They are just so skilled and talented, which will allow them to prevail and make it through to possibly winning it all.

Brazil is the team you want to keep an eye on this year. They are very quick with the ball and have the ability to break down another team's defense in a matter of seconds. It’s still too early to determine how far they will go in the tournament, however of all of the South American teams playing in the tournament, we would consider them to be the best in the continent.

The group of death… This is the group no team wants to be apart of. France, Columbia, Mexico and England are all quality teams. We are unsure as to which team will make it through to the next round.  Based on the history of the tournament, it would seem that France and Mexico will make it through, but once again anything can happen in the sport of soccer —  especially in the group of death...
