Follow on Google News | Cambridgeshire Property Workshops Achieve Record AttendanceA Cambridgeshire Letting agent launched a successful series of Investment workshops which are becoming more popular.
Belvoir Lettings and Beauwater Mortgages, both based in Cambridge organised a free seminar for investors at the end of May which was attended by 40 people. The seminar is part of a wider series of events hosted by Belvoir Peterborough, which are aimed at those interested in Buy to Let. The topics change each month to cover different aspects of the investment process. The event in question was titled “Limited Time, Limited Income, Limited Company” and featured a presentation about the process of remortgaging and releasing equity in order to expand an investment portfolio. The seminars, which have been running monthly since November 2014 normally attract between 15 and 25 delegates, so both companies were very pleased with the latest turn-out. Delegates came from as far and wide as Northampton and Bedford. Terry Lucking, owner of Belvoir Peterborough & Cambridge said, “40 people attended of the 52 that booked which is fantastic for a free event. We intend to keep these events free and open to everyone because we believe education is very important, and there is a lot you should understand before getting into property investment.” The evening started out with a lettings industry update and property searching tips from Belvoir. This was then followed by an explanation of Remortgaging and Equity Release by Beauwater’s Simone Gilks, and finally specific remortgaging products were explored with a representative from Castle Trust, the Financial Lender. The event was rounded up with an informal networking session where attendees were able to ask members of staff for advice and also book appointments if needed. Simone Gilks, founder of Beauwater Mortgages said of the event, “It was great to see so many people there, a mixture of clients and new faces. Even if people aren’t at the stage where they are expanding property portfolios, a free learning and networking event like this is valuable to learn about the buy-to-let world and discuss the experience with other investors.” Due to the popularity of this event Belvoir are running a repeat of the same Seminar on Wednesday 24th June, at the DeafBlind UK Conference Centre in Peterborough.
