Tennessee Champion Bull Rider Set to Throw First Pitch
JACKSON, Tenn. - June 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Championship Bull Riding’s (CBR) number one gunner from Tennessee is set to throw out the ceremonial first pitch in the Ball Park at Jackson on Saturday, June 20, when the Jackson Generals take on the Birmingham Barons.   Bailey, one of the top ranked professional cowboys on the pro bull riding circuit, will represent the CBR on the field for the first pitch.

Bailey, for the second consecutive year, is ranked among the top six competitors in the Championship Bull Riding World Standings at the end of the regular season.  Bailey recently fought past four world champions to earn his first Mahindra Road to Cheyenne Championship title at the Tuff Hedeman Championship Challenge in Fort Worth. The twenty four year old bull rider from Paris is known for riding best under pressure. Bailey is a three time bull riding State Champion of the Tennessee High School Rodeo Association and also claimed the Junior Bull Riding Association State Finals his ride to fame.

A native of Paris in Henry County bailey grew up around the sport and it was no surprise to those who know him he found his way into the professional ranks.

“I’ve been around bull riding pretty much my whole life,” he said.

“My uncle rode bulls and it just grew on me. I started actually riding bulls when I was 10 years old and then slowly started kind of moving up. I went to Junior Rodeo my eighth grade year and won the Tennessee Junior Rodeo title. Then in high school rodeo I got third my first year, and the last three years I ended up winning state. Once I got out of high school I started professionally and went to some pro rodeos and CBR events. My first event was in Bossier City, La., and I ended up with a 91 on my first bull. I got bucked off my second bull and then I was 89 in the third round and I placed second, and I’ve just been going ever since then.”

After five years of riding on the pro circuit, Bailey now has one goal on his mind for the CBR World Finals in July, “to win,” he said simply.

“The main thing though is to try my hardest and do my best and try to win, and the ultimate goal is to be a world champion bull rider. One of those guys that’s able to say that they won the world championship gold buckle.”

Bailey is a member of the elite three bull riders who are the Mahindra Young Guns, sponsored by Mahindra USA.

The Ballpark at Jackson is a 6,000 seat Minor League Baseball stadium located in Jackson, Tennessee.
