The problem: Big debris or microscopic dust? Most vacuum cleaners are better at one or the other, either leaving dust in crevices or piles of larger debris such as cereal, snow ploughed to the wall.

The solution: Dyson engineers have completely redesigned the traditional cleaner. Rather than strips of hard bristles, the Dyson Fluffy™ cleaner head has a full width roller covered with soft nylon material and rows of carbon fibre filaments. Large debris is enveloped by the soft material and flung inside the cleaner head, while the carbon fibre filaments remove fine dust.

The problem: Spills and stains are often trampled deep into carpet pile; mud from children playing in the garden, pastry flakes from an over enthusiastic dinner party guest. Vacuum cleaners can often fail to dislodge the ground-in dirt, simply skimming the surface of the carpet. Your carpet pile is a hiding place for dust and debris. Not to mention that there’s up to 1,000 dust mites per square metre in your carpet.

The solution: The Dyson V6 direct-drive cleaner head has 75% more brush bar power. This agitates carpet pile tackling ground-in spills and stains.

The solution: Dyson engineers have designed the post motor filter to increase its efficiency to capture allergens and expel cleaner air. The filtration of the Dyson Total Clean removes particles as small as 0.3 microns such as allergens and smoke. Expelled air is cleaner than the air you breathe.
