24-7 Intouch Announced as Title Sponsor for Mark Scheifele Golf Tournament and Hockey Camp

WINNIPEG, Manitoba - June 15, 2015 - PRLog -- WINNIPEG, MANITOBA – June 15, 2015 – 24-7 Intouch announced today their title sponsorship of the first annual Mark Scheifele Golf Tournament (http://www.kidsportcanada.ca/manitoba/winnipeg/calendar/mark-scheifele-golf-tournament/) and Hockey Camp (http://www.kidsportcanada.ca/manitoba/winnipeg/calendar/mark-scheifele-hockey-camp/) in support of KidSport Winnipeg. The hockey camp runs June 20 and 21 at Gateway Community Centre and the golf tournament follows on June 22, 2015 at Niakwa Golf and Country Club.

“We are excited to be a part of this inaugural event for KidSport Winnipeg,” said Carmyn Aleshka, Director of Philanthropy at 24-7 Intouch. “As a local business we wanted to support a program where the funds will go directly back into our community; it’s a way to help kids who would not normally be able to participate due to financial limitations and therefore miss out on all sport has to offer. We are impressed with Mark’s commitment to the camp and to getting more kids off the sidelines.”

KidSport supports families who would otherwise be financially unable to have their children participate in sports including hockey, football, soccer, baseball and gymnastics.

“I’m looking forward to the hockey camp and golf tournament,” said Scheifele, who is entering his fourth season with the Winnipeg Jets. “It will be fun to get out on the ice with young players and work with them on developing their skills; and the golf tournament will be a great opportunity to meet some of Winnipeg’s most enthusiastic golfers.”

24-7 Intouch has previously supported charitable causes such as Red Nose Day 2015 and Stand Up to Cancer with live phone support, and was the top fundraising team for the Mike Keane Celebrity Hockey Classic in February.
