In Delaware, on Karaoke Night, no one does it quite like Chris Birch!

Take it from one who sings Karaoke Rock&Roll, Do-Wop, and Alternative music perfectly every time, boldly sets drinks afire, and always gets people to dance. Rick Crumb speaks of Chris with affection, reverence, and respect; much like a mentor, friend, and scholar.

For those who don't know a thing about Karaoke - it's the finest way you can sing a popular song you love, to an always cheering and ever changing audience. If you're good or if you're bad, it does not matter, everyone is there for a good time. As ice cubes in glasses dance and lights are set low, suddenly you hear: "Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to Chris Birch's Karaoke Karnival, we have our song books out there among you so fill out a song card, write your name next to it, and we'll get going in a moment." And then he begins to sing one of his own favorite standards.

Asking Mr. Birch what he thinks of the various ecstatic responses about him, he is humbly surprised. He does not seek vain popularity or praise, yet manages to turn it around to favor everyone else: "I really just what to make people feel comfortable, happy, and entertained. That's what I am hired for. The brave ones who step to the plate have every confidence they have the best song of the night, it's my job to help them prove it". -Chris Birch -

"Chris first off, is a professional, having integrity especially concerning his gigs. He raises the bar where not many can follow. Chris is a music man ..he loves music and is willing to share his love for it without hogging the mic. He appreciates everyone that he lines up to sing and makes you want to sing better, even if you can't carry a tune. He was always a gentleman with the ladies, never out of line, I personally witnessed it. I so very much miss that time "Nobody does it Better". Chris also always had time to make conversation while setting up or packing up his equipment, and always wished us a safe trip home. Willing to find any kind of song, regardless if in the book or not, he went the extra mile. He had respect from everyone. Closing time was sad, but it meant he simply gave us a week to improve. I am so grateful that he was the 1st person that helped me enjoy Karaoke, encouraged me so to practice and learn as much as possible. Chris' passion for music and people was off the chart. As alcohol numbness often kicked in, he'd find us and remind us that we were up next without alarming us at all. He'd line up the songs with ease and made the transitions work like a Swiss clock.
