By: Rue Education According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median salary from 2012 of Registered Nurses was $65,470. RN jobs are expected to grow by 19% from 2012-2022, which is faster than the national average for all other occupations. The number of jobs added within this period is over 525,000. For those looking to pursue a career in nursing, the entry-level education for RNs is an Associate’s degree. The advantage of a 2-year degree requirement means prospective nurses can utilize fast-track RN programs such as Rue Education to quickly and conveniently complete their RN education. This grant is designed as a stepping stone to help prospective RNs take the next step in their education. Grant details: • Qualified recipients are eligible – LPN/LVNs, Respiratory Therapists, and Paramedics are currently the only qualified recipients of the Rue Education 26th Anniversary Grant. Further qualifications apply and can be found on Rue Education’s “grants and financing” page. • Awarded throughout June – Recipients whom have requested information can discuss their eligibility for the Rue Education 26th Anniversary Grant with their education consultant. • Unclaimed Grants – In the unlikely event that a grant goes unawarded, the grant amount may be divided into smaller amounts and awarded to individuals that were not wholly qualified for the full $1,200 amount, but may qualify for another amount. This way, recipients of all eligibility levels may still receive the benefits of an education grant.
