MOTERWRITER.COM reviews the latest hit novel – Too Beautiful For Words

San Francisco based PI uncovers an international assassination ring!

CASTRO VALLEY, Calif. - June 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Sammy Shovel, the super PI once again makes his appearance in author Ronald M. James’s latest novel ‘Too Beautiful For Words.’ When the CEO of a big corporation with a squeaky clean image gets murdered, the local police department gets stumped when they aren’t able to decipher a set of clues left behind by the victim. That’s when Samuel aka Sammy comes into the picture as the hired PI of the corporation trying to find out their boss’s murderer. He quickly delves into the case and unearths some explosive and controversial information. But it also makes him the target of bad guys and he has to depend on his super sleuthing skills and gun slinging ways to find a way out of the latest muddle he has found himself in. Sammy Shovel had first made an appearance in early 2015 in a thrilling novella called ‘An Adventurous Night’.

Sammy Shovel doesn’t have any case worth investigating right now, which is another way of saying that he’s in desperate need of money. Then enter a big and wealthy corporation that wants to solve the mysterious murder of their boss that the police haven’t been able to crack, and is willing to spend big bucks too. It’s an ideal case for our PI as the case has enough mystery surrounding it to get his attention and a client willing to pay him more money than he has ever been paid. What happens next is a daring adventure complete with cinemascope style and feel. With a great supporting cast including members of the local police department and a host of colorful secondary characters, Too Beautiful For Words is detective noir at its very best. Follow Mr. Shovel around as he solves crime and shoots bad people up.

“I have plenty more stories to tell about Sammy and I hope that readers embrace and accept him as their new favorite detective,” Ronald M. James told us when we interviewed him in connection with the book’s promotion. When we spoke with a few readers at a popular online book forum, they said the book beautifully recreates the 90’s and added that even though it’s a detective story there was a strong emotional side to the story with a rich array of multi-dimensional characters. One of the readers David said "It was fun to see the investigations being carried out a time when the internet wasn’t the same as today and getting information meant relying on good old networking.” Kevin Peter who reviewed the book for Moterwriter.com said that the book had a certain old world charm about it and the lead protagonist was someone very likeable. “It’s a winning combination the author has at his disposal; a brainy and sharp shooting detective for a protagonist and a free flowing descriptive narrative.”

About the author:

Ronald M. James was born during the great depression, and as a toddler watched WPA men build a new street, from his home’s big front window. His playmates were a red rider wagon, a small black satchel and rocks. By using his imagination he had conversations with mythical street workers that bloomed into fashioned fantasies by age four. He used cardboard boxes to create fun spaces for his neighborhood playmates to enjoy and he kept telling stories all through high school. In college he abandoned writing and studied architecture. James had a successful architectural career and retired; however he wanted to keep his creative juices fluent, so he returned to his childhood story telling days and joined a writers group. His books include: Harrington manor, 2015; An Adventurous Night, 2015; Too Beautiful For Words, 2015. Connect with him at – www.ronaldjamesbooks.com
