CLIF Bar CrossVegas and Universal Sports Network Announce Live Broadcast of 2015-16 UCI World Cup

 
LONGMONT, Colo. - June 11, 2015 - PRLog -- CLIF®Bar CrossVegas (http://www.crossvegas.com/25/index.php) today announced that Universal Sports Network (http://www.universalsports.com/) will broadcast CLIF Bar CrossVegas, the first Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Cyclo-cross World Cup held in the U.S., on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015 from 8 to 11 p.m. PDT. The three-hour nationwide broadcast includes live coverage of the women’s and men’s elite races from the Desert Breeze Soccer Complex in Las Vegas, Nev. The broadcast team will feature veteran play-by-play announcer Steve Schlanger alongside analyst Todd Gogulski.

CrossVegas is the largest annual cyclo-cross race in the U.S. and takes place following the first day of the Interbike International Bike Expo, (http://www.interbike.com/index.htm) held in Las Vegas each September. Launched in 2007, it attracts competitors from more than 15 nations with teams of eight men and eight women competing in the elite categories. The race features a variety of terrains that includes pavement, grass, steep hills and barriers, requiring cyclists to dismount to navigate obstacles then remount their bicycles to finish the race. Competitors include the world’s top-ranked cyclists and multiple national and UCI world champions. In addition to the elite races, CrossVegas also features USA Cycling Amateur Races and the Wheelers & Dealers Bike Industry Race, both held before the start of the World Cup event.
