TORONTO - June 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Jones & Jones Productions Ltd. is one of Canada’s most recognized Event Management and Entertainment brands.  Having produced several significant events catering to the Jamaican Diaspora, including the Jamaica 50th Anniversary held at the Sony Center for the Performing Arts, and the annual JAMBANA™ One World Festival – the largest diaspora event in North America, Jones & Jones will represent Canada at the 6th annual Biennial Conference of the Jamaican Diaspora.

Taking place in Montego Bay from June 13th to 18th, 2015, the conference will address issues important to the people of Jamaica, both home and abroad, which includes trade and economic development, faith based initiatives, health, education, tourism and disaster migration.  Expected to attend the conference are representatives from government, business leaders and non-governmental agencies.  Representing the Canadian, Jamaican diaspora is Denise Jones from Jones & Jones Productions who will speak on Culture and Tourism.

Speaking to Ms. Jones from her Brampton based office, she said “According to the 2011 Census, there are approximately 260,000 Jamaicans living in Canada who appreciate relics from home including great entertainment, and we are committed to positively reinforcing the Jamaica brand through our positioning in the Canadian marketplace as Canadians of Jamaican heritage.”

Since 1987, Jones & Jones has produced events that place Jamaican culture in the spotlight, and understand the dialog that takes place between Canada and Jamaica to make those events happen.  Everything from securing talent, to obtaining work permits, the J&J brand is familiar with the ins and outs and recognize that “there are things we can do to make the process simpler.”

In 2013, Denise Jones began managing 4 time JUNO Award winner, and world renowned recording artist Exco Levi.  Under Denise’s guidance, Exco has enjoyed the expansion of his career and brand, achieving milestones not enjoyed by many Caribbean artists in Canada.    What’s more, Denise is the founding chair of the Reggae committee for CARAS (Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences) which places her in the unique position to understand how to gain wider acceptance of the genre and culture in Canada.

Jones & Jones Productions will be amongst 2,000 delegates and plans to share ideas on ways to increase tourism through greater visibility of brand Jamaica in Canada.  Ideas will also be shared ways to bring more of Jamaica ‘home’ to the diaspora in Canada.

Some of the services offered by Jones & Jones Productions includes:  Event Planning, Festival Management, and Artist Management (Exco Levi, Nana McLean and Blessed).
