The resulting app is a perfect example of what can happen when we marry our cutting edge program development at the Academy with the ideas of entrepreneurs; The application is set to revolutionize networking and connectivity by eliminating the need to swap business cards. No longer will business professionals empty their pocket of business cards and lose them in a stack on the desk, forgetting the names and faces and, much more importantly, the potential opportunities they represent. The Sparks Mobile Connector App creates a tribe, a community that is able to communicate directly via each other’s phone, email, website, and social media platforms. The Android version of The Sparks Mobile Connector App is set to go live on July 8, 2015. In addition, Reed is announcing that he and the Sparks Mobile Connector App have been selected as one of the exhibitors at The Innovation Showcase 2015 at Dallara Headquarters in Speedway in July, 2015. Exhibitors must apply and only the most cutting edge and innovative projects are accepted. Part of the Innovation Showcase includes the opportunity for exhibitors to pitch their product to a host of members of the venture capital community. The grand prize winner receives a valuable package including cash, mentorship, advisory, marketing, legal, branding services. “The Sparks Mobile Connector App is one of the initial steps in preparation for launching Sparks events nationally over the next three years,” Reed said. “The plan calls for more than 20 Sparks events to be happening monthly across the country and with the Sparks Mobile Connector App, members will be able to expand their community to reach each event. Members will not only be able to connect with others immediately without regard to geographic limitations through the App, but they will also be able to stream all the other events through the member center on the website. “Sparks members will be able to travel to cities where there are Sparks events and already have contacts and a common ground with people in that city,” Reed says, adding, “Reach expands and business expands with it, thanks to Sparks and the Sparks Mobile Connector App.” The fresh approach that Sparks, and now The Sparks Mobile Connector App, takes has the potential to significantly improve businesses and the people in them by using technology to create meaningful relationships and communities.
