Drilling For The Big Water News

Water Blog Makes Investigative Journalistic Splash, Digs Into Important H20 Issues

HILLSDALE, N.Y. - June 10, 2015 - PRLog -- A leading global advocate for water is teaming up with an award-winning journalist to take an insightful, hard-hitting and investigative angle into the news and issues that surround the world's most important element -- H2O.

Leslie Gabriel and his team at WaterCheck.biz (http://www.watercheck.biz/) have partnered with journalist and media specialist Johnny Burnham to dig deep into the issues -- both good and bad -- that encompass water. Both Burnham and Gabriel are hoping to shine a light on a topic that is important in the lives of everyone, but is often overlooked when it comes to garnishing proper media attention.

"Having been a professional journalist for better than a decade now, I've seen and experienced first-hand how the news media will often times pass on covering important issues; issues that affect the everyday lives of all of us. When these issues do get some coverage, specifically those that center around water, more times than not it's just a broad overview of a general issue. When Leslie Gabriel came to me with the idea of turning his blog into a place where people can truly read about these important water issues, both good and bad, and get a detailed story -- the whole story -- in one place, I jumped at the opportunity to get involved," Burnham said. "What makes this project so intriguing is that I truly believe the content can make a difference. We want to open up everyone's eyes to what's going on."

A new story will be posted on WaterCheck.biz's Water Blog (http://www.watercheck.biz/blogs/news) on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Burnham's first four stories, a series which looks at some of water's "Bad Boys" -- the likes of Nestle, the dangers of "bomb trains," the explosion at the Indian Point power plant in New York, and a breakdown of some of today's corporate water criminals -- can be read on the blog now.

“We are thrilled to have award-winning investigative journalist Johnny Burnham join our team. He would be providing a whole new edge that only a professional journalist can.. Burnham will pull no punches when in it comes to water news investigation, which will provide our readers a new level of insight into the water news they care about,” Leslie Gabriel, CEO of WaterCheck.biz, said.
