Harbor Springs Waterfront Wine Festival 10th Anniversary

PETOSKEY, Mich. - June 9, 2015 - PRLog -- Harbor Springs, MI - The 10th anniversary of the Waterfront Wine Festival June 27,4-7 pm on the Harbor Springs waterfront, promises a great celebration of wine and food with some exciting new offerings this year.  Sponsored by the Harbor Springs Area of Commerce and Scenic Michigan, the Waterfront Wine Festival will this year offer the wines of 12 Northern Michigan distributors and vintners along with the foods of 10 restaurants.

"We are excited to include some wonderful wines this year with some new offerings from the vintners," said Daniel DeWindt, executive director of the Harbor Springs Area Chamber of Commerce. For this year's Waterfront Wine Festival, wines will be available from Fabiano Brothers, Kobrand, Imperial Beverage, Morgan Winery, Great Lakes Wine and Spirits, Estancia Winery, Woodberry Wines, Shady Lanes Cellars, Harbor Springs Vineyards and Winery, Griffin Beverage, Ciccone Vineyard and Winery, and Verterra Winery,  "New this year is a VIP ticket that provides unlimited wine tastings, personal consultation with sommelier Tony Zanotti, and a signed poster of this year's Waterfront Wine Festival art by artist Margaret Tvedten," said DeWindt.

Along with the many wine offerings, the foods of area restaurants will pair with the wines. The foods from Vernales, Muer Kitchens, Stafford's Pier Restaurant, Harbor Springs IGA, American Spoon Foods, D & W Fresh Market, Mustang Wendy's, Twisted Olive, Crooked Tree Breadworks, and the Wine Guys Restaurant Group.  "With the great wines and the variety of wonderful foods, the Waterfront Wine Festival offers a wonderful evening that also includes the music of the John Driscoll Ensemble," said Abby Dart, executive director of Scenic Michigan.

Also new this year is festival accommodations through Trout Creek Condominium Resort that includes special pricing for couples or groups of friends for the weekend of June 26-27.

Held under a tent on the Harbor Springs waterfront, the event typically draws 600-700 festival goes. Another new addition this year is a raffle prize of a nine-day cruise offered by Haimark Coastal Cruises.  A $50 raffle ticket can buy a chance at a cruise on the Great Lakes, North or South America, and the Maritimes.
