Follow on Google News | "Gasper the Goal" and "Rug the Little Brown Rugby Ball" by Chris Blount are publishedBy: New Generation Publishing Gaspar the Goal is the first of a new series about what sport is like for the sports equipment: the goalposts, the rugby balls, the tennis nets, the ice skates, the sandpits and the swimming caps. How will Gaspar cope with the challenge of playing in the Premiership? The second charming sports-related story is about the adventures of Rug the Little Brown Rugby Ball. Can Rug escape from the sports shop where he lives? Will he ever find a rugby family to play with? Will he fulfil his dreams of playing in a match? Both books are fully illustrated. Watch out for the adventures of Nettie the Tennis Net and her friends at the Wimbledon Tennis Champion, which will be following soon. Excerpt from “Gaspar the Goal”: “Shoetown had a very successful cup run that year. They reached the sixth round of the FA Cup and had earned a replay after a very hard-fought draw away to the league leaders, Norbrook City. This was the most important match of the season for Shoetown. Every seat in Socks Park was sold; 32,000 people watching, a record crowd for Shoetown. Shoetown were very nervous, and within ten minutes, Norbrook were two goals up. Norbrook were attacking Gaspar’s end and the first goal was a bad mistake by Ilunor. Gaspar was very angry and tried to shout at him, but the keeper wouldn’t listen. The second goal came when the Norbrook centre-forward tried a long-range kick, which sailed over Ilunor’s head and into Gaspar’s net. Not much he could do about that one, thought Gaspar, but that’s the end of our chances.” Gaspar the Goal is available in hardback from Amazon at: www.amazon.co.uk/ It is also available in paperback from Amazon at: www.amazon.co.uk/ Rug the Little Brown Rugby Ballis also available in paperback at: http://www.amazon.co.uk/ Press/Media Contact Details: New Generation Publishing Tel. 01234 712 064 E-mail: info@newgeneration- End
