10 Entrepreneurs Look to the Future after Completing MicroEnterprise Course

Graduates complete six-week small-business course in Fort Myers
 
FORT MYERS, Fla. - June 5, 2015 - PRLog -- 10 aspiring entrepreneurs are now closer to starting their own small businesses after completing the Goodwill MicroEnterprise course. The graduation ceremony took place on June 4 at Keiser University (9100 Forum Corporate Parkway, Fort Myers).

The Goodwill Southwest Florida MicroEnterprise Institute is a training program to help emerging entrepreneurs start new ventures and grow small businesses. Graduates complete a 12-module business and management training course over six weeks, and work with mentors who are successful businesspersons.  Mentors for the recent session were David Burns, and Claudia Monte. The class facilitator was Julie Pekrul.

Graduating the course was LaShandra Brantley, Roseleine Dorzin, Barbara Gorman, Katie Jones, Germaine Nelson, Wendy O’Neill, Chad Rayner, Elias Scioli, Sydney St. Louis, and Jessica vargas-Christopher. Business plans ranged from a hair salon to dairy-free ice cream.

“Dreams do not come true because you dream them,” said commencement speaker Chris Spiro of Spiro & Associates. “They come true because of hard work and sacrifice.”

This was MicroEnterprise’s 40th graduating class.
