MACOMB, Mich. - June 5, 2015 - PRLog -- GraMedica is excited to be among the sponsors of the upcoming symposium, Current Concepts in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Talotarsal Joint Subluxation, held June 17-19, 2015 in Matulji, Opatija, Croatia. Created by The Graham International Implant Institute® (GIII), the program consists of a number of expert speakers from more than nine different countries presenting an array of the latest education, research and technology in foot and ankle care.

Studies in Foot & Ankle International highlight a significant increase in foot and ankle specialists. Feet provide the base of the musculoskeletal system. If damaged it can cause problems throughout a person’s body. Clinicians seek to understand how to diagnose and treat these issues. To meet the growing demand for training in the foot and ankle specialty, GIII is committed to continuing education programs for foot specialists to learn the the best care available to their patients.

Patients with a Talotarsal joint dislocation can suffer from a variety of symptoms including unstable feet, feet tiring easily, bunions, damage or inflammation of tendons, and moderate to severe pain in the feet, shins, knees, hips, and/or back. In one incident reported in a BMJ Case Report by Bajuri MY, et al., a neglected foot subtalar joint dislocation was associated with a neck fracture amongst other serious issues.

The Current Concepts in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Talotarsal Joint Subluxation symposium will be held at three venues in Matulji, Opatija, Croatia. The new Hotel Navis, Villa Kapetanović and Special Orthopaedic Hospital "Dr. Nemec" - Specijalna bolnica za ortopediju i opću kirurgiju "DR. NEMEC" will hold lectures, hands-on workshops, and live patient settings for specialists in attendance to increase their knowledge and skills in foot and ankle care.
