Director, Writer, Producer Gina Lee Ronhovde Recognized by Recent Festivals, Competitions

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - June 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Gina Lee Ronhovde is taking the festival and screenplay competitions by storm with her projects: Family Reunion (screenplay) and Match.com: "Know They’re Out There" (spec commercial) entries.  Ronhovde is a Minnesota native and a force to watch as a multi-talented director, writer, and producer. A graduate of The Los Angeles Film School, Gina Lee Ronhovde is leading the way in successful festival circuit nominations and wins. This commercial has been selected to screen at the California International Shorts Festival on June 10th at the Whitefire Theatre (13500 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks, CA. In screenplay competitions, Ronhovde's “Family Reunion” – is a Top-Ten Semi-Finalist in the 4th Annual Palm Street Films Script Contest. Family Reunion is a Meet the Royal Tennebaums / Meet the Parents unique comedy of a family set in rural Minnesota where four estranged siblings and their families reunite for a dysfunctional family reunion during their hometown celebration of “Tingvold Days.”(http://www.palmstreetfilms.com/2015-script-contest/)

“Boudoir”, a psychological horror short written, directed and produced by Ronhovde that has recently been celebrated with three wins: People’s Choice Award for Best Short Film, Best Cinematography, and Best Dramatic Short Film at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival (HRIFF) and stars Dominique Swain (LOLITA,FACE/OFF, ALPHA DOG) and Deneen Melody (THE PLAYBOY CLUB, ROSE WHITE), with cinematography by Will Barratt (FROZEN, HATCHET I&II), special effects bys Michael Del Rossa (300, I AM LEGEND) edited by Ed Marx (SWIMMING WITH SHARKS, JEEPERS CREEPERS) with sound & music by John Neff (THE STRAIGHT STORY, MULHOLLAND DRIVE).
