To determine how today's connected consumers want to leverage digital channels in their browsing process, TRA and digital marketing agency Ritter Knight, conducted research and analyzed audience data, and developed a new website that caters to their changing needs. One critical finding: as mobile and tablet use continues to skyrocket, it is essential that consumers be able to access all of the website's features and information across multiple devices – desktop, tablet and smartphone.

"When one is making a decision of what Third Party Administrator (TPA) to go with when there are so many different devices and sites becoming available as part of the digital experience, it was important that we build a site that offers immersive, rich online and mobile environments that meets consumers' expectations across all channels,” said Bill Sunagel, Marketing and Communications Director.

To create a truly seamless experience across desktop and mobile devices, the new site was built using Responsive Web Design methodology and a cutting-edge content management system. Knowing that 17% of the traffic came from a mobile platform in 2014, Sunagel recommended this approach to responsive design, which uses a combination of front-end and server-side technologies to customize the site's content, features and functionality and optimize the site's performance across all devices.

Our own mobile traffic has grown 37% year on year and, in line with our digital strategy, we want to ensure our readers have the best possible experience when looking at the TRA website on any type of small tablet or mobile,” asserts Sunagel.
