In Honor of National Running Day fitRaise Launches Marathon Fundraising Site

CLEVELAND, Ga. - June 3, 2015 - PRLog -- fitRaise, Inc announces the launch of FundMyMarathon.com, a website devoted to helping marathon runners raise money for charity while they train for their marathon.

FundMyMarathon (http://www.fundmymarathon.com/) will allow marathon participants to create virtual running events that they can use to meet or exceed their fundraising requirements for their supported charity organizations.  These events, powered by the fitRaise platform, will allow a runner’s friends, family, and co-workers to run, walk, or cycle at their own location to earn donations on the runner’s behalf in support of charity organizations.

Donations are earned by collecting pledges for each mile that the participants run, walk, or cycle during an event period that can last up to a month.

In order to secure their entry into premium events many runners promise to pay a charity the minimum required donation regardless of how successful their fundraising campaign may be.  The FundMyMarathon tool, powered by fitRaise, provides these runners with one more way to help them reach those financial goals.
