The Countdown to Georgia Peach Fashion Week Has Begun

ATLANTA - June 3, 2015 - PRLog -- The first season of Georgia Peach Fashion Week (GPFW) benefiting Twin of a Kind Foundation is less than 2 weeks away and is expected to be the prime destination event that will be the talk of the town. GPFW is the first of its kind and will provide a new and innovative platform for fashion. Designers will be showcasing their lines on the GPFW runway in front of buyers, celebrities, socialites, media, and fashion tastemakers .

GPFW will kick off with an opening reception on June 11th and run through June 13th, closing with The Black and White Celebrity Walk Off.

The kickoff will be hosted by America's Next Top Model Contestant and CW's Fashion Correspondent Victoria Henley with performances by Jayna Brown, D'Squared Live, and Margeaux Simms of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta performing her new single "Start A War" with designers Merci, Miguel Wilson, JOPPA Couture, and Itsy Bitsy Boutique with your favorite celebrity kids.

On Friday, June 12th, GPFW will be hosted by Bravo's Brooklyn Tankard with performances by Rico Barrino and Cori Sims and featuring designs by Drip Swimwear, Kimmani Kouture, and The Cotrice Collection from Lifetime's Project Accessory.

The finale, Saturday, June 13th will be hosted by Checka Cee of Star 94 and co hosted by Jazzy McBee of 94.5 with performances by Top Knotch and Billboard charting, award winning R&B group Final Draft performing their hot single #DWN with designers The Queen's Chair, NP The Clothing, Ja'ire International, and the traveling tailor himself The BeSpoken Mogul.

The BeSpoken Mogul and other designers will be providing the clothes for the Black and White Celebrity Walk Off.

GPFW will be held at Mason Fine Art, 415 Plasters Ave. Red carpet is from 6pm-7:30pm daily and show starts promptly at 8pm daily.

ABOUT TWIN OF A KIND

These contrasting personalities allow them to be there for each other, support, and encourage one another.

Erin and Desiree didn’t see things quite this way growing up. They tried their best to fit in with the in-crowd, but found it difficult to grab the attention of others, and we're labeled as socially awkward. They were ridiculed and bullied as youth for their lack of size and peculiar look.

Overcoming childhood obstacles, led them to share their experiences with others through the development of TWIN OF A KIND. TWIN OF A KIND is a self-empowerment organization based on building self-esteem and creating positive self-awareness by motivating and encouraging youth/young adults to see their potential. A hallmark of TWIN OF A KIND is gaining self-acceptance and understanding that everyone is different in their own unique way hence their motto, "Why Fit In When You Can Stand Out".

TWIN OF A KIND provides interactive workshops called “Unlock and Unleash Your Star Potential” designed to help individuals get to know themselves, love themselves, and be true to themselves.

Erin has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Desiree also has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Masters in Public Administration. This dynamic duo has over 30 years of combined experience in the mental health field as counselors, coordinators, case workers, behavioral specialists, and therapists to at risk-youth and their families.
