People For Community Improvement Hosting Community Job & Resource Fair

LOS ANGELES - June 2, 2015 - PRLog -- Black America is in a "Economic" state of emergency, and what’s happened in Baltimore, Ferguson, Missouri and other cities isn’t solely about police misconduct, according to members of the Congressional Black Caucus.

"The demonstrations and civil unrest are mostly about poverty, unemployment, a lack of opportunity, hopelessness and despair", the organization said.

The median net worth of white households is 13 times the level for Black households, and Blacks are almost three times more likely to live in poverty than white Americans.

In response to this, People For Community Improvement  is presenting the Community Job & Resource Fair,  Saturday, June 6 @ 9:00am - 1:00pm at Home Assembly Church, 13515 S. Figueroa St. L.A. 90061.  The event will include the Job Fair, Financial Literacy Seminars, and Re entry services.

The theme of this event is 'Work, Learn, Thrive". Representatives will be present from Retail, Warehouse, Customer Service, Transportation, Security, Hospitality, Healthcare, Food Service, Technology and many more.

There will also be resources and seminars. There will also be re-entry service resources.
