WASHINGTON - June 2, 2015 - PRLog -- The National Association of Realtors® (NAR) inducted three Michigan Real Estate brokers into the Realtor Party Action Committee (RPAC) Hall of Fame. The three southeast Michigan inductees, all REMERICA brokers, are Christopher Courtney (REMERICA Hometown in Plymouth), John McArdle (REMERICA Hometown One in Plymouth) and Gary J. Reggish (REMERICA United in Novi). They join a group of 500 other brokers from all over the country (an additional 14 of whom are from Michigan) whose names are permanently engraved in the NAR Headquarters building that faces the United States Capitol building.

“REMERICA brokers are some of the most active brokers in the communities in which they serve. As all three are REMERICA Franchisees, it is a testament to REMERICA’s commitment to community involvement. It’s also just very rare,” says REMERICA CEO James Courtney. Each of the three brokers honored has held leadership positions within local, state and national organizations dedicated to the promotion of home ownership (through tools such as the mortgage interest deduction, keeping interest rates affordable for those who qualify and Fair Housing regulations.) When asked why this is so important, McArdle responded, “I want my office to continue to stay relevant, on the cutting edge, and to provide knowledgeable and focused service above all else. My involvement with RPAC helps me do this.”

RPAC is the Political Action Committee committed to protecting private property rights through legislative voting and change. Realtors who make the choice to become active in RPAC do so because of their desire to be at the forefront of Real Estate policy in order to adjust their business practices in their own markets. Among other qualities, RPAC looks for a long history of service to the community by protecting private property rights as well as a contribution to the cause totaling no less than $25,000.

About REMERICA:

Many Real Estate companies did not survive the economic and housing downturn, but REMERICA was one that did. Courtney said, “We had to make adjustments, but we did, and our brokers and agents were flexible to adapt to the changed economy.” REMERICA’s offices are located primarily along the I-275 corridor and span from Riverview to Novi. Offering the most regional expertise, REMERICA agents are considered some of the best trained and most knowledgeable in the field. About RPAC:

From 2004 to 2012, RPAC raised over $45 million dollars to support pro-Realtor® Party candidates running for Congress. The amount of money RPAC spends to support candidates makes it one of the top three trade association PACs in the nation. Realtors® are a key part of the American Dream: home ownership. But now, more than ever, Realtors® are facing forces from many directions that threaten their profession. Property tax burdens, lack of available financing and difficulties in short sales transactions are only a few of the issues that somewhere, every day, Realtors® confront when selling a home. RPAC allows Realtors® to make sure their concerns about these issues are heard and understood by public officials.
