**Media Advisory** Summer Fundraiser For Children's Performing Arts Camp

LOS ANGELES - June 2, 2015 - PRLog -- OVERVIEW:      The Good Shepherd Shelter provides a safe, nurturing environment in which mothers and their children can heal, reawaken their dignity and self-confidence, and learn the skills that will help them stop the cycle of domestic violence. The children at the Good Shepherd Shelter, however, are unable to leave campus this summer to attend summer camp, and are unable to afford the summer camps that many of our children enjoy. Therefore, we want to bring summer camp to them, and our Summer Fun Fundraiser will help to do just that!

WHAT:          Our Summer Fun Fundraiser aims to raise at least $6,000 for the children at the Good Shepherd Shelter (“GSS”) for a two-week Summer Camp Program on the GSS Campus. Specifically, the money raised will help fund the CRE Outreach Performing Arts Program. CRE uses theatre to enhance self-esteem, encourage self-expression and empower individuals to overcome the challenges in their lives. CRE will help create two (2) one week summer theater camps for the children of the Good Shepherd Shelter that will end in a final performance piece of the campers’ creations.

HOW:          The proceeds from the Summer Fun Fundraiser will go towards paying trained CRE Theater instructors, costumes, props, creating/writing the script, printing costs, summer camp supplies, field trips, insurance and other elements necessary for creating and producing a theatrical performance piece at the GSS Summer Camp.

WHEN:          Join us on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 6pm – 10pm for an evening of fun and performances (talent to be announced soon), raffles and live/silent auctions featuring amazing prices from gift certificates to local restaurants, hotel stays and more!
