TMG Recording Artist Scores Hot Start To Crowd-Funding Campaign

June 2, 2015 - PRLog -- Springfield, MO – Caleb Allen, internationally acclaimed singer/songwriter and the newest artist to sign with major label Tate Music Group, is off to a fast start with his new crowd-funding campaign. The Missouri based artist launched the campaign to raise initial funding for a new project, after signing a one-album deal with TMG in May. Allen is asking backers to help him raise $1,000 in 21 days. The record label will then provide the remaining capital to produce, distribute, and promote the album. In the first day after launch, Allen’s campaign has reached 17% of its total goal.

Allen hosted a similar campaign last year to fund his first album, an independently produced EP. “The success of that campaign, not only financially, but from a fan interaction standpoint, was a main factor in deciding to launch this campaign,” said Allen. “Even thought the label is providing most of the funding, I wanted to give my fans an opportunity to participate in this project as well.”

Since 1996, The Allen Family has travelled internationally as musicians. The family of ten recently garnered national attention starring in the original TLC pilot, “Home Sweet Bus”. Allen left the family group in 2014 to begin his solo career. His signing with TMG is the first major break as a solo artist. “It feels great,” Allen commented, “Most artists never get the opportunity to truly free their music, because, like anything else, it takes money. It’s a great feeling to write a song knowing it will have the chance to be the best it can be.”

Allen’s Kickstarter campaign has 19 days remaining to reach the goal. Rewards for pledges include free copies of the new album, downloadable music, a personal Skype session, and even an album release party hosted by Caleb Allen in your very own living room.
