WOBURN, Mass. - June 1, 2015 - PRLog -- NuPath has been providing services within the community of Woburn and Middlesex County for nearly 50 years, helping thousands of men and women over the decades find gainful employment and become truly engaged members of their communities. NuPath has helped nearly 3,000 individuals realize their potential and every day, nearly 350 individuals look to NuPath Inc. to help them reach their own life goals. As an industry leader, NuPath has provided ongoing advocacy and education to community and legislative partners, helping to achieve the resources necessary to provide the highest quality of outcomes for NuPath and other organizations within the human services industry.  At NuPath, the six core values of community, unity belonging, innovation collaboration and sharing are the glue that holds that everything together.

Through these values, and NuPath's promise to provide people with disabilities the support they needed to live, work, learn, and grow, and participate to their fullest potential in their communities, NuPath has created a range of day and residential programs specialized to meet each individuals wants and needs.

Some of these services that NuPath offers, employment services, community-based day supports, day habilitation services, autism services, clinical services, residential services, and transportation. All services are based on a basis of human rights, dignity and compassion, and all programs and services are constantly always evolving and changing to meet every individual's specific needs.

Day Services

What sets NuPath's day services apart from others is a dedication to supporting people with disabilities in community settings to develop life skills, learn about local resources and contribute to their communities through employment and volunteer opportunities.  NuPath completely eliminated their segregated "sheltered" workshops and strives to assist individuals with the transition from non-paid day experiences to integrated career opportunities, important volunteerism/community service, as well as academic instruction and career exploration. NuPath day programsoffer employment and training opportunities with a retention rate of over 90 percent of these people placed in jobs in the community, stay employed. Along with these services, NuPath forms relationships with local businesses to provide jobs for individuals. Through all of these services, NuPath also embodies a health and wellness initiative for all individuals that includes an ISSA Board Certified Health and Fitness Consultant to help support and counsel.

Day Habilitation Services

For individuals that may need a more structured approach, NuPath offers a day habilitation service in the Westford and Woburn locations. All programs are offered in positive settings and environments, and work to promote growth, independence, and wellbeing. This service offers a stimulation program, community opportunities, a skilled nursing team, and therapeutic disciplines. In just one day, individuals can experience pet therapy and other activities such as swimming or volunteering.

Services for Individuals Living with Autism

NuPath also offers an innovative program for those living with Autism and those on the Autism spectrum. For these services, NuPath provides high staffing ratios, as well as spacious, clean, and safe environments. These services pay special attention to health, wellness, and good nutrition, and only use medication to address behavior and psycho-social considerations at the lowest dose when absolutely necessary. The staff working in this area are trained to apply physical restraint only as an emergency intervention, never as a planned behavior consequence. Services for those living with autism are focused on supporting individuals so that they can live, work, and grow in their communities effectively.

Clinical Services

Individuals who display challenging behavior or have an intricate range of clinical issues may benefit from NuPath's clinical services. Clinical services aim to promote growth in individuals, and push them to their utmost potential. Some services offered under clinical services include, applied behavior analysis, program development, medication effectiveness monitoring, and crisis management. All clinical services are modified and personalized for each individual's specific needs.

Residential Services

Through NuPath's residential services, individuals can call beautifully maintained homes and apartments their own. Homes and apartments are located throughout Middlesex County and beyond.where residential programs offer customized staffing and support to help each person live as independently as possible. Taking advantage of NuPath's residential services can offer individual's full acceptance and true inclusion within a community.

Transportation Services

At NuPath, lack of transportation is never a barrier to independence, which is why vehicles are always ready to meet the transportation needs of individuals. Transportation services are always safe, comfortable, punctual and flexible for all individuals. Through these transportation services, individuals can take advantage of countless opportunities and become a fundamental part of their communities.
