Munger Construction Recognized For Excellence In Job Order Contracting

BRANFORD, Conn. - June 1, 2015 - PRLog -- Branford, CT; Pat Munger Construction Company, Inc. has been recognized for its role in the City of Middletown, CT receiving the 2014 Harry H. Mellon Award of Merit for applying Job Order Contracting principles and practices for its boat launch installation.

For the past nine years Middletown city officials had wanted to expand recreational use of the Coginchaug River, popular with canoers and kayakers. But their efforts to build a boat launch were continually challenged by cost estimates that were significantly higher than their State of Connecticut grant. Applying Gordian's ezIQC solution, Munger worked with city officials to reduce the initial estimate by 60% for a $68,168 savings.
