Anitox takes the stage at FEW 2015

May 29, 2015 - PRLog -- Anitox will take to the Innovation Stage at this year’s FEW conference in Minneapolis to explain how ‘Thermostable OptimOH Revolutionizes Bacteria Control in Ethanol Production’.

The talk, given by Technical Business Development Manager-Biofuels Eric Sumner at 12:00pm on Wednesday June 3, will explain how OptimOH’s thermostable characteristic means greater control of pathogens earlier in the ethanol production process, maximising alcohol yield potential.  “OptimOH can be added to slurry to control bacteria in the pre-fermentation phase, killing bacteria much earlier in the process to protect sugars and support a stronger fermentation,” says Sumner.

“We’re sponsoring FEW for the first time, underlining Anitox’s commitment and value to the biofuels sector.”

OptimOH is a new technology capable of controlling bacteria in ethanol plants, protecting fermentation and improving yields without the need to modify pH, enzymes or other parameters. “Because it’s thermostable it can be applied early in the process, increasing flexibility and improving bacterial control,” adds Mr Sumner. “OptimOH’s Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) classification, and Anitox’s extensive experience with similar technologies recognized by the FDA for use as feed additives, will help it support producers through FSMA compliance.”
