First:
Try washing the baby’s face with water and using baby soap. Keeping your baby’s face clean is good to eliminate bacteria spread and it makes it easy to reduce the acne. When you wash your baby’s face, try using a soap that is special for babies and do not wash the face more than once a day. Your baby’s skin is soft and sensitive; over washing the face can harm the skin and irritate it. It can even increase the acne and red spots on the face.

Second:
Do not ever try to scrub your baby’s skin. One of the worst ways to deal with baby acnes is scrubbing the skin. As we said before, your baby’s skin is sensitive and scrubbing it can only make things worse so, instead, use a soft towel to dry the skin of your baby after washing it.

Third:
Avoid squeezing the bumps. Do not believe those who tell you squeezing the bumps can be the easiest way to make those bumps disappear. Squeezing the bumps can only leave marks and irritate the skin. Your baby’s skin would turn red and pumps would increase after squeezing the already existing pumps. So be gentle with the skin and avoid being harsh on the skin.

Fourth:
Do not overuse medication, creams, and ointments. Overusing medication can irritate the skin and make the baby acne even worse. You are not even advised to use any medication on your baby’s skin. Most babies cannot tolerate having any creams on their skin so make using medication your last choice.

Fifth:
Always keep the baby’s clothes and toys clean. Keep your baby’s surroundings clean because these surroundings play a big role in increasing or decreasing the acne. The cleaner your baby is, the less future acne will appear. However, do not make this idea of cleaning the baby an obsession. Just keep your baby’s clothes clean and that’s it!

Sixth:
Try applying some breast milk. There is no need to remind you of how beneficial breast milk is. It can be a solution to most of the problems the baby has. So, apply some of your breast milk on your baby’s skin using a cotton bud or without even using a cotton bud. Just make sure to rub the milk gently on the face, specifically on the areas that have red bumps.

Seventh:
Use lemon-honey mixture. Lemon in known for its antibacterial properties. Mixed with honey, lemon can give fabulous results to your baby’s skin. So, you are advised to use lemon and honey mixture. Mix some drops of lemon with some honey then get some piece of cotton, dip it in lemon-honey mixture, then apply it on the affected area. Keep it for no more than 20-25 minutes then wash softly with water. And again, dry the skin very gently.
