The company is made up of Mike, Matt and Mitch Berens along with Jess Hinz. The idea came along when Matt got tired of continually having to ice or heat his back. He would grab an ice pack or heating pad, try to position it correctly on his back, and then lean on the couch to try and hold it in position. The reality is, it never stayed in the proper position and the couch got soaking wet from the ice packs. That is when Matt came up with a solution to the problem.
