Follow on Google News | Baldwin Hills Library Offers Small Businesses a Big ReturnBy: Baldwin Hills Library Co-sponsor of Inter-Agency Council's Smart Start Small Biz Workshop on Saturday, June 6, the library offers over 45,000 volumes on a variety of topics, more of which the library hopes to release into wider circulation thereby sparking a spike in local entrepreneurial activity and bolstering economic prosperity in the region. “Literacy, learning and entrepreneurship go hand in hand,” said senior librarian Zakkiyya Rivers. “We are pleased to partner with Inter-Agency Council toward our mutual goals of supporting the area’s small businesses.” Inter-Agency Council is a non-profit organization that supports women entrepreneurs in South LA by offering workshops that inspire and equip small business owners to build profitable companies.
