By: Medical Science Liaison Society Building on the momentum established during its previous U.S., European, and Asia-Pac meetings, the society’s 3rd annual North American conference will give attendees the opportunity to learn and share the latest best practices, hear innovative strategies for improving MSL performance, network with colleagues, and meet new peers while discussing relevant topics and recent news. The conference will feature esteemed speakers from around the world discussing topics such as: • "Leveraging MSL Insights from the Field to Advance Medicine”by Avery Ince, Global VP of Johnson & Johnson (China). • “The Pathway to Professional Certification in Medical Affairs: A Journey to Professional Excellence” by J. Hudson Garrett Jr., Vice President of Clinical Affairs at PDI Inc. (USA). • “Challenges Faced by the MSL Function” by Kumaran Krishnan, European Medical Affairs Centre of Excellence at Sanofi (UK). • “Empowerment, Transformational Leadership, and Intention to Quit in a Medical Science Liaison Team” by Dr. Jerome Meyer, Regional MSL Director at Genzyme Pharmaceuticals (USA). • “A New SAE: Skills, Attributes and Effectiveness for MSL’s Working with Rare Diseases” by James D. Czajkowski, President of Phase Medical LLC (USA). Presentations will also be given by other global medical affairs leaders including Alexander Tolmachev of Takeda (Russia), Michael Milane of DUSA Pharmaceuticals (USA), and Jennifer Williams of Bard Medical (USA).
