By: Elephant Walk “Our plan from the beginning was to add sandwich options to the lunch menu and this Spring is the perfect time,” said Nadsa de Monteiro, Executive Chef of Elephant Walk. The wait is worth it. Elephant Walk includes options such as Le Hamburger a la Citronelle ($11) a sandwich style version of the traditional burger. This lunch dish includes special blend ground beef infused with lemongrass; grilled, and garnished with carrot, cucumber, scallion, cilantro, and peanut dressed with Tuk Trey, spicy srirarcha mayonnaise and optional fresh jalapeno. Guests can also order dishes including Crispy Catfish Sandwich ($9) with crispy Asian catfish, spicy sriracha mayonnaise, baby arugula and Cambodian quick pickles; or the Braised Duck Sandwich ($9) braised in soy-ginger tamarind juices with portabella mushroom, garnished with baby arugula, carrot, cucumber, cilantro and scallion with Tuk Trey dressing. All sandwiches are served on Iggy’s Ciabatta sandwich rolls. Elephant Walk South End is open for dinner seven nights a week, brunch on the weekends and lunch Thursday and Friday.
