BRONX, N.Y. - May 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Golf is one of the outdoor and ball sports which are popular in various parts of the world. It requires a set of ethics and rules to play like any other professional sport in the world. In golf, players have to hit the balls into a series of holes in few strokes to score higher in the game. It takes the sharpness of mind, proper analysis and focus to perform well.

Golf is considered as one of the highest paid professional sports. Main controlling bodies of professional golf are International Golf Federation (IGF), Professional Golfers' Association and United States Golf Association (USGA), whereas regional and domestic golf associations work in their territories.

A pro golfer must know a list of best practices which are inevitable in order to play the professional golf. These best practices are based on rules and ethics which are considered norms in international golf.

Best Practices to Play Golf

Following are the best practices which make any golfer a pro golfer regardless of his/her rank and talent:

Check the Site

Before you get going with your game, make sure that the ball doesn't hit anyone in the range. Normally a small group of people remains in the range to witness the game. Try to play safely.

Shout 'Fore'

If you hit the ball and it looks to hit someone, then shout 'Fore' out loud. Yelling isn't normally a part of the game in golf, but sometimes a shot goes wrong unintentionally, then you have to go for a call to make sure that the ball doesn't injure anyone.

Pace of Shot

Maintain the pace of the game. Stick with your group to speed up and keep the momentum going in the game. People are likely to enjoy the sport when it moves at a good pace.

Stay on Green

Try to be on the green area until others have holed out.

Taking care of others

If you're slow in your game, let others continue the game. Sometimes you aren't comfortable to just play through or your shot requires little longer than usual, so allowing the group to continue would be a good gesture.

Beware of Crowd

It's quite reasonable to adjust yourself during the play. Keeping an eye on the shot selection and hitting the ball with respect to the spectators around will be considered a positive approach.

Repair Damages

Try not to leave your spots of spikes and ball marks after the shots. It's one of the nicest things professional golfers do during the play.

Number of Clubs in bags

Play by the book in order to be a pro golfer. According to the rules, you can bag maximum of 14 clubs in your bag.

Advice during the Play

You're not allowed to take or give the advice during the play from anyone unless he/she is caddie or partner.

Mark the Ball Spot

If someone else moves your ball, replace it with the spot without a penalty.
