The movie title portends a worrisome real-world factor: The well-known San Andreas Fault Line in California generates more quakes there than fault lines in any other state. Most Californians live within 20 miles of a major fault, including the San Andreas, the Hayward and the Rose Canyon faults. Earthquakes impacting people and property can occur at anytime.
