Methodist Health System Foundation Names Three New Board Members

DALLAS - May 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Methodist Health System Foundation has announced the addition of three respected community leaders to its board of trustees: Allie Beth Allman, founder, president and CEO of Allie Beth Allman & Associates; Rev. Mark Craig, M.Div., retired senior minister of Highland Park United Methodist Church; and Rev. Paul Rasmussen, senior minister of Highland Park United Methodist Church.

According to Methodist Health System Foundation President and CEO April Box Chamberlain, “These three leaders bring many years of community involvement and business expertise that will help guide the future of our foundation.”

Allman founded Allie Beth Allman Real Estate in 1985, merged in 2001 with Coldwell Banker and reopened as Allie Beth Allman Company in 2003. The company has produced five of the eight largest sales in the Park Cities in the past 12 months and 30 percent more listings than any single office brokerage firm. Allman has also been recognized as D Magazine Best Real Estate Agent since 2008, and D Magazine Top Producing Agent since 2012. Allman has served on the Charles A. Sammons Tower Capital Campaign Committee and Center for Brain Health Advisory Board. She has also received the Dallas Historical Society 2011 Jubilee Award for Excellence in Community Service. Allman and her husband, Pierce, have two daughters.

Rev. Craig retired as senior minister of Highland Park United Methodist Church in 2013, after serving there for 18 years. Prior to serving at Highland Park United Methodist Church, he was the founding and senior minister for 15 years at Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas. Rev. Craig earned his bachelor of arts degree from Austin College and Master of Divinity degree from Duke University Divinity School. He was awarded a graduate fellowship at St. Michael’s, Dumfries, Scotland, from 1972 to 1973. Since 1996, Rev. Craig has served on the board of trustees at Southern Methodist University where he is a member of the Academic Policy, Planning and Management, and Buildings and Grounds committees. Methodist Health System Foundation honored him with the Robert S. Folsom Leadership Award in 2013. Rev. Craig and his wife, Sandra Craig, Ph.D., reside in Dallas. They have two sons and one daughter.

Rev. Rasmussen has served as senior minister of Highland Park United Methodist Church since 2013. He began preaching at Cornerstone, Highland Park’s contemporary worship service, in 2001. A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Rev. Rasmussen is a fourth generation United Methodist minister. He holds an undergraduate degree in history from Centenary College of Louisiana, a Master of Arts from the University of Richmond, and a Master of Divinity from Southern Methodist University Perkins School of Theology. Prior to his call to the ministry, Rev. Rasmussen served as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Centenary College. He left coaching to pursue a career in sports marketing where he served as the national sales director for SportsCare USA, Inc. Rev. Rasmussen serves on the Caron Texas Advisory Board; CARE Advisory Board; Perkins School of Theology Executive Board; and Board of Ordained Ministry, North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. He and his wife, Ashley, have three children.
