Zane Dawson Suspended & Fined After Attacking AML Wrestling Employee

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - May 26, 2015 - PRLog -- In a press conference held today, AML Wrestling officials announced that Zane Dawson has been suspended for 45 days and fined $500. This comes after Dawson brutally attacked a member of the AML Wrestling Team, Chris Lea, during a post title match interview on May 24, 2015. This was the second time Dawson has attacked Chris Lea during an AML Wrestling event. The first time was on January 25, 2015.

"After speaking with Mr. Lea and after reviewing the footage, we felt that it was necessary to both suspend Mr. Dawson for 45 days and fine him $500. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: these types of attacks on our non-wrestling personnel will not be tolerated in AML Wrestling," said AML owner Tracy Myers.

Mr. Lea, who was temporarily knocked unconscious, was immediately treated by medical personnel. He sustained bruised ribs and minor head trauma but is expected to make a full recovery.

Both Lea and Dawson were contacted for a statement but neither responded.

AML Wrestling brings their monthly live events to the AML Arena, also known as Johnny & Junes. The next AML Wrestling LIVE! event, BULLETPROOF, is scheduled for Sunday, June 25, 2015. Their TV show airs at 12:30pm every Saturday on Triad CW20.
