RUNCORN, U.K. - May 26, 2015 - PRLog -- State of the art technology projects that fast-growing Cheshire-based business software and computer game developer d3t Ltd have been heavily involved with are on the awards trail.

Scotland’s Battle of Bannockburn Visitor Centre at Stirling, for which d3t helped develop a high-tech 3D technology experience to enable visitors to effectively take part in the historic medieval battle, has won the acclaimed Museums and Heritage Award for The National Trust for Scotland, Historic Scotland and designers Bright White Ltd.

Additionally, the competition judges stated: “With subject matter which is notoriously difficult to interpret, the technology used here has brought the battle ground to life, successfully managing to be both fun and educational. The judges see this as a new way forward for this kind of interpretation.”

And Super Stardust Ultra, the acclaimed state-of-the-art computer game that was developed and released by d3t earlier this year, has reached the finals of the prestigious ‘Develop Magazine Awards’ in the ‘Creative Outsourcer’Category.

d3t’s Co-owner and Commercial Director Jamie Campbell, speaking from the company’s Runcorn HQ said: “We are delighted that the whole visitor experience at the Bannockburn visitor centre has been recognised as something inspiring and best in class and we congratulate The National Trust Scotland, Historic Scotland and Bright White on the award.

“Working with Bright White has been a great experience and we hope the dream team of Bright White and d3t continue to work together going forward. In fact, collaborative work has already started on ‘Interact’, a Bright White project where 3D filming techniques and natural language processing will be used to capture the stories of Holocaust survivors and to investigate how technology can help audiences of the future interact with key historical individuals.”

Steve Powell, Co-owner and Development Director at d3t added: “Winning the innovation category is fantastic validation for d3t’s contribution to this work. We always knew we were involved in something special with the Bannockburn project.

“The passion of all involved was obvious from the outset, and dt3 took the same approach of putting their hearts and souls into the work. Bright White does a fantastic job of pushing the design boundaries to the extreme and d3t takes up the challenges of making the virtually impossible possible.”

After enjoying many successful years in the games sector, Jamie and Steve launched d3t as a work-for-hire business in 2011. Biased towards technical work – programming, optimization, rendering and porting – d3t has grown rapidly and now employs 14 members of staff at its Heath Business Park HQ in Runcorn.

However, the company is always on the look-out for talented and experienced individuals to serve their ever growing customer base.
