Imitation of poetry
BRUSSELS - May 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Frank Steenson, poet. A man who has seen much suffering and pain around him and yet remains that positive person with that positive attitude who tries to the last moment to help others. "That's why my God has kept me going," says Frank, diagnosed several times with cancer and yet insisting to live his life at its full – jogging, writing, helping people with drinking problems, basically "wish to be remembered as a decent bloke". Frank is a realist, Frank does not moan about the facts of life, Frank considers himself blessed with friends, family and "a God that does not think it's my time yet". Frank Steenson, poet. Decent human being. This is not a bio really, it is rather what is important to Frank Steenson to be remembered by: "I love my family and friends, what matters in this life is love each other and care for each other, I am no saint nor downright sinner, I live one minute at a time seeking redemption..."

Refrain of tongue...

Sometimes when it comes to love
Too much talk can become a great hindrance
I often wish I had kept silent more
Simply listened and took in her beauty
Talking of course can give great comfort at times
But when you wish to put a heart at ease
It is sometimes prudent to be a good listener
Therein can lie much peace
When you don’t busy yourself by saying too much
Sometimes I may entangle myself in utter nonsense
Instead of whispering that
Which is pleasing to the ear
It is easy at times to get so wrapped up in my own passions
That I miss the words of love and desire
When it is truly expedient to speak

Child of mine...

It’s true in you
I have found everything I wished to have
All that any man could possible desire
Only when in you
Can every possible need be fulfilled
Perhaps I should not boast of such things
Nor rejoice aloud either
Saying nothing of such great pleasures
Simply honour you when lying alone
You infuse the soul of your servant
Of which I willingly am
Your spirit within raises me each day
To the light of a beautiful dawn
My heart inflamed anew
Knowing as I do
That you now carry the fruit of my loins inside you
