Second Book Award in 2015 for "The Deer Effect" by Susan Wingate

SEATTLE - May 25, 2015 - PRLog -- For nearly 20 years, Susan Wingate has been writing novels and has won several awards. Wingate's books often reach bestseller ranks on Amazon. Here she goes again.

On the heels of a first book award earlier this May, Wingate's latest novel "The Deer Effect" nabs another literary award--this time in the category of Christian fiction with the esteemed award-giver, the Pacific Book Awards.

"The Deer Effect" marks Ms. Wingate's first foray into inspirational fiction--specifically, into Christian fantasy fiction. When asked, Wingate said she was "taking a bold leap into uncharted waters."

She went on to say that she "had little to go on, aside from my deep faith, about writing for the Christian fiction market. I just prayed it would all turn out well. I had been leaning in this direction, [toward] this genre, for a while and finally said, 'What the heck! Just do it!' to quote Nike. I guess it's working a little. I hope God is happy. I know I am."

Wingate has two other Christian fiction titles in the works. One is a psychological suspense which deals with matters surrounding the death penalty. And another Christian thriller dealing with the end-of-days.
