Domestic Abuse Survivors Unite

Real Experiences Needed for Research Study to Educate & Raise Awareness About This Horrific Epidemic

CHICAGO - May 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Domestic abuse often gets misunderstood [and judged] by those who simply don't understand the varying degrees of abuse [don't just entail physical assault]. In fact, many are in abusive relationships and are completely oblivious to it. We seek to end this ignorance by exposing real stories from former [and current] victims of domestic abuse.

We are seeking volunteers to participate in a research study to educate professionals in the counseling industry as well as the general public about Domestic Abuse in many communities throughout the Chicagoland area. This is an inclusive study which encourages those who are men, women, LGBTQ, all ethnicities, economic backgrounds, and geographical locations to participate. Some participants will be chosen to be featured within a training video and many stories will be chosen to be included in an upcoming book.

Confidential [free] interviews will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2015 at the Chicago Public Library, 310 W. Division from 1:30pm - 4:00pm
