LAS VEGAS - May 22, 2015 - PRLog -- In an effort to bring more awareness to the importance of water safety in Clark County and across the state, Clark County has teamed up with the Float Like A Duck™ program to create an informative and educational Public Service Announcement (PSA). https://youtu.be/L25tXSG6BZc

The PSA features Float Like A Duck’s water safety mascot, Duckie, along with program founder Joseph M. Vassallo, CBP, who demonstrate the ABCD’s of water safety with the assistance of father and son Matt and Merrick Suiter.

The water safety PSA can be viewed at the Clark County website (www.ClarkCountyNV.gov), on Clark County Television (CCTV) , and on various social media sites.

Clark County has made it available to statewide TV/cable stations and radio stations for airplay during the summer swim season via the following link: DOWNLOAD: PSA Float Like A Duck - Water Safety (https://ClarkCountyNV.brickftp.com/f/801f6c65e)  .

“The key to preventing water-related injuries is water safety education,” said Clark County Commissioner Susan Brager, an active member of the Southern Nevada Drowning Prevention Coalition. “Drownings can occur any time of year in our community, but the risks increase during the summer when swimming pools are in high use and Lake Mead and other water recreation destinations are popular.”

Vassallo encourages the media to share the video as often as possible to reach viewers/listeners across the state.
